Guru Nanak as a traveller

Guru Nanak Ji is believed to have travelled more than 28,000 Kms during the period from 1500 to 1524,in five missionary journeys (udasiya) of the world. Guru Nanak Ji travelled to the far away places of Mecca, Baghdad,Ceylon (Sri Lanka), Kamroop (Assam), Tashkand. He covered most of India, present day Bangladesh, Pakistan, Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, South West China, Jordan, Afganistan, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Israel, Syria, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan in search of the real message from the Almighty.
Most of his journeys were on foot and he was accompanied by Bhai Mardana. Guru Nank Dev Ji is also considered as the second most travelled person, the fist being Ibn Battuta of Morocco.
