Luck seems to have become anti-Vivek Oberoi for quite some time now. Despite his constant efforts to get a reckoning back into the industry, constant hurdles seem to accompany him everywhere.
After the extreme failure of his movie, Kismet Love Paisa Dilli, Vivek’s ultimate hopes were totally on Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story. Though his goofy gangster performance in the movie is getting rave reviews, but the bad luck seems to be stepping in here again.
The problem faced by this movie is of a new kind. This weekend of rare releases has made film exhibitors across the country, stick to the last week releases, rather than the new minor releases. Special 26 and ABCD are the two last week releases that are doing really well even in the second week of their release. This is forcing the cinema owners hold them for at least this week as well.
Also the film exhibitors hold this viewpoint that replacing a successfully running movie with the one which has almost no face value is a financial risk for them. They managed to make space for Murder 3 as it had some face value. But replacing Vivek Oberoi’s, Jayantabhai Ki Luv Story will be a huge financial risk. Vivek Oberoi’s latest release has managed very less shows on big screen but the makers are still hopeful with the least they have got.
This film needs to work well, otherwise it will end up Vivek’s chances of getting a comeback into the industry.
